Our son has been going to Yvette since he was 10 months old. He was initially in mixed care, going to nursery and Yvette however, after not settling into nursery we put him solely into the care of Yvette for 3 1/2 days a week. He is now 3 and absolutely loves the time he spends with Yvette, Cathy and the other children looked after by them.
There is never a moment when we hear the words "I don't want to go" when he's going to Yvette. I feel that because of the environment and absolutely brilliant care that is provided to our son, he is completely confident and happy going to Yvette and I would have no hesitation in recommending Yvette to other parents looking for childcare for their children. Yvette's house is very well equipped to keep all the children entertained on sunny and not so sunny days and our son loves the time he spends out and about with Yvette, Cathy and the other children.
Yvette completes a personal daily diary in which she tells us what our son has eaten, what activities he has done that day and anything else she feels we should be made aware of. This is really nice as it means that we can keep up to date with his development and what he is currently learning. Yvette also keeps us updated verbally of our son's development and progression and I feel this is important as it has meant we have been able to form a good relationship with Yvette and this can only be to the benefit our son. I believe the way in which Yvette and Cathy structure their care is such that our son finds learning new things fun and interesting and his personality and character have definitely grown since he has been going to Toddle-Tots.
Choosing Yvette to be our son's childminder was one of the best decisions I have made in his short life so far, so much so that I had no hesitation in wanting Yvette to look after our newest edition to the family when I return to work after maternity leave next year.

My daughter has been attending Toddle-Tots for nearly three years now and I feel that in that time Yvette and Kathy have provided a safe, stimulating and caring environment.
Returning to work and leaving your child with someone is such a daunting prospect and I was dreading it, but Yvette has made it so easy. I can honestly say I have never doubted my decision in my daughter attending Toddle-Tots. From the time you step through the gate it is obvious that everything is geared towards stimulating the children and making them happy.
In her time at Toddle-Tots my daughter has been given unbelievable opportunities. Most days there is an outing or some kind, from memory they have included softplay, the beach, the zoo, horseworld, strawberry picking, crabbing in Clevedon, Avon Valley , Noah’s Ark. These outings are often tied in with projects that the older ones work on when the younger ones are in bed.
Aside from the outings the activities they do at her house are fantastic. There have been delicious cakes, biscuits and bread rolls baked and the art work has to be seen to be believed! My friends always admire the “art wall” at my house and are amazed at the ideas Yvette comes up with. My daughter’s favourite was the life-size painting of herself! My daughter has also enjoyed all the planting activities they’ve done and was especially proud of the sunflower she grew.
I feel my daughter is very lucky to have attended Toddle-tots, I truly believe that no-where else could have provided her with the constant opportunities, care and stimulation she has received there. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Where do I start?
There are so many fantastic things to say, Yvette was recommend to me by my mum who has worked in childcare for 30+ years and having every faith that my little boy, her grandson, would be happy in Yvette’s care. It took a good few weeks for him to settle and throughout this time Yvette was reassuring us that this was normal.
Each week that he is at Yvette’s he will have at least one visit out - it may be Horseworld, Noahs Ark, Avon Valley,Singing group, Playgroup, Parks. On the other days he enjoys being chef !!! his cookery skills are improving. He enjoys many crafts - painting, playdough etc. He enjoys the many varieties of construction and small world - trains being his favourite.
His activities , diet and personal needs are logged in a personal daily diary throughout the day, this useful as it allows me to talk this through with him, there is also room for my comments from home life. He loves his time with Yvette, Kath and friends.
We are a happy Mummy and Daddy knowing that our child is cared for in such a caring and professional environment.

After failing to settle into nursery, I placed my, 18 month-old, daughter in the care of Yvette and Kathy at Toddle-Tots. That was quite possibly one of the BEST decisions I have made for my little one to date. Carefully structured settling-in sessions, combined with the caring and supportive home-environment provided by Toddle-Tots meant that my daughter quickly felt at ease and settled into her new childcare setting in no time at all. Mornings became less stressful (not to mention emotional), with my daughter happily waving me off before running inside to find out what delights awaited her. Even now at 3 ½ years old, she looks forward to going to see Yvette, Kathy and Kai (Yvette’s son) who she considers to be part of her extended family. Mind you with all the exciting things they get up to, it’s no wonder!
During her time at Toddle-Tots, my daughter has been given amazing opportunities that I feel would not have been offered at other childcare settings. Not only has she enjoyed (unbelievably) creative craft activities, construction, cooking sessions, gardening, extensive role-play, garden parties and much more within the home-environment, my daughter has also been taken on numerous excursions outside of the home. Many evenings, have I sat and listened to my daughter full of stories about her and her friends adventures at Avon Valley, Horse World, Noah’s Ark, Strawberry picking, Toddlers, the Farm and Weston, to name but a few. When I hear my daughter giggling and speaking with such enthusiasm about the events of her day, I know that she is happy and is enjoying her time at Toddle-Tots. As a working mum that is the most important thing to me.
Undoubtedly, Toddle-Tots take their commitment to every child’s development extremely seriously and plan fun, exciting and relevant activities that are stimulating and educational for children of all ages. They adapt and extend activities to accommodate for the different age ranges of the children in their care as well as the children’s interests. Throughout her 2 years with Toddle-Tots, my daughter’s progress and development has been closely monitored and documented in the form of a learning journey, which will be a wonderful keepsake for the future so I am still able to share some of the moments that I have sadly missed. In addition to this, day-to-day activities and communications are logged in your child’s personal diary.
Since joining Toddle-Tots my daughter has thrived socially and academically because she is being cared for in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment where her caregivers understand and treat her as an individual. She adores Yvette, Kathy and their family who she speaks of fondly.
Over the years, I have found Toddle-Tots to be a highly professional setting that definitely deserves their OUTSTANDING grade awarded by OFSTED in 2009/10. I have no hesitation in recommending Toddle-Tots. Thank you to Yvette and Kathy!

My son will be starting at Toddle-Tots in september 2011, we are currently going through the settling in process. I can truly say me and my husband have no worries in leaving our son with Yvette and Kathy they do an absolute wonderful job. The settling in process is well thought out and it is over a few months so your child can get use to the setting and Yvette, and helps you feel 100% comfortable with leaving your child. The setting is excellent with great indoor and outdoor opportunities. When viewing toddle-tots i could tell straight away why they deserve their OUTSTANDING award, not only for their facilities, but also for all the effort they put into ensuring the children in their care enjoy every moment they spend with them. We are so pleased we have managed to place our son with a childminder like Yvette as it has made going back to work so much easier as i know he will be happy and thrive with Yvette and Kathy. I would not hesitate in recommending toddle-tots and am looking forward to my son being able to participate in all the fun on offer at toddle-tots.
